Basically good 14 1/2" long Spiers of Ayr dovetailed steel panel plane from the early 1920's. Gunmetal lever cap with dark rosewood infill which includes a fully enclosed rear handle. The front bun has an old added brass disk to the top. The plane retains its original Spiers backing iron but has an old replacement Robt Sorby tapered iron which is almost full length. The metal of the plane is very clean with no pitting. The rear handle spur is slightly damaged. Good mouth. 2 1/2" wide blade.
