SUPERB condition 1920's NORRIS of LONDON A5 patent adjustable coffin-shaped dovetailed steel smoothing plane. Gunmetal lever cap with really good clean rosewood infill with fully enclosed rear handle and all the original lacquer. 1922 patent adjuster. The plane comes with its original Norris London stamped bcking iron and although not stamped what looks to me to be the original thick parallel iron which is almost full length. A really nice example of this lovely plane.

Post war Record of Sheffield No. 05SS STAY SET jack plane. Origin al blue finish with nice shape beech handles with no damage. Near full length original blade with the famous stay set backing iron. Condition is basically good but there are one or two minor spots of discolouration to the metal in places.

Pretty decent beech wedge stemmed plough plane, No. 5B by A. Mathieson & Son, Glasgow and Edinburgh with full set of 8 plough irons, all in good near full length condition. The plough plane is all original but as usual there is minor damage to the boxwood fence wedges. The set of irons are all by James Howarth except one which is by Marples. Really good usable plane.

Fine basically unused Acorn, England No. 4 1/2 heavy large smoothing plane. All the original red finish with golden beech handles with original transfer and full length original blade. The handle bears the label CHAPMAN TOOLS by STANLEY which indicates this plane was produced shortly after Stanley took over Acorn in the last 1930's. Slight pitting to the sole otherwise like new.
