Early 1900's patent metal NORRIS of LONDON No. 13 annealed iron smoothing plane in well used but still perfectly OK condition. Metal is good with no pitting, early style gunmetal lever cap with nicely grained rosewood infill with fully enclosed rear handle. Original Ward backing iron (number stamped 24 same as the plane) with thick parallel iron by I Sorby which is probably also original. Pretty decent beech wedge stemmed plough plane, No. 5B by A. Mathieson & Son, Glasgow and Edinburgh with full set of 8 plough irons, all in good near full length condition. The plough plane is all original but as usual there is minor damage to the boxwood fence wedges. The set of irons are all by James Howarth except one which is by Marples. Really good usable plane.
