Pretty decent 14 1/2" long dovetailed steel panel plane by A. Mathieson & Son of Glasgow. The plane has obviously been well used over the years but has also been pretty well cared for also. Gunmetal lever cap with all its original dark rosewood infill with fully enclosed rear handle. No cracks or damage to infill. Half length thick parallel iron by William Marples of Sheffield is cast steel and produces a fine mouth. The metal is all very clean with no pitting.
