Early screwed sided, coffin-shaped, dovetailed steel Spiers of Ayr smoothing plane for repair. The plane isn't stamped with the makers name that i can see but it is definitely an early Spiers plane. The rear handle is an old replacement that could do with either tidying up or a new one made and the plane requires a blade and backing iron. Metal is all pretty clean and the rest of the dark rosewood infill is fine.
