Early, primitive 15 1/2" long Scottish cast metal panel plane. Nice shape casting with shaped and pierced cast metal lever cap and walnut infill. Open rear handle. Good length blade by William Marples of Sheffield. Although this is rather a primitive made plane it does have a really nice charm to it. Reasonably good condition for its age.
