Beautiful little 19th century Scottish cast metal chariot plane. Only 3" long by 1 1/2" wide. Very good quality casting with chamfered top edge, original rosewood wedge and good length original single solid cast steel blade by MacKay Burley & Heys of Glasgow. Good condition with no issues. MacKay Burley & Heys definitely made wooden planes and moulding planes but I am not sure about metal planes. It definitely looks to me to have been made by a plane maker, possibly Mathieson
