Thick parallel iron by Aaron Hildick. Requires a handle as the rear handle is missing completely. Very slight pitting to the metal but nothing serious. Will restore into a nice early Spiers plane.

VERY RARE large size hardwood and brass tailors or glaziers square by KERBY & BRO, 51 FULTON STREET. NEW YORK. USA. 43" by 24" with the longer section beautifully hand engraved in inches. Brass face to one edge and various brass inlays. The square is in reasonably good condition for its age but there is some age related cracks in places. When I tried to do a bit of research into this rule / square I could only find 1 on the web which had been reduced in size.

There is no date on it that I can see but it is pre 1971 as the prices are in old money and it is also C. & J Hampton Ltd. I think it is late 1950's. I have never seen this catalogue before, only small but very interesting and in MINT condition. 15 pages plus the original loose price list page. RARE !!
