Superb, highest quality, early 20th century Stanley of London Engineers Dumpy level in original mahogany box. Stanley of London were famed for making the highest quality scientific instruments ever produced. This example is in superb condition and was supplied in Scotland via their Glasgow branch in Queen Street. Superb, high quality, 8 1/4" long by 1 1/2" wide steel based gunmetal shoulder plane. I can't see a makers name on this plane but it is obviously factory made. Superb original figured rosewood infill with full length blade by William Marples of Sheffield which is an old replacement. Very fine mouth. The blade is slightly too narrow so could do with another one fitted the correct width but it is a very good blade.
